BFX polyester with Lycra T400 fiber technology. Stretch and recovery built into the fiber itself. No spandex to break down or fade under UV. The highest colorfastness to light in the Davis pant lineup.

Mid-weight fabric drapes and holds a crease while breathing as well as lighter weight pants. Wrinkle resistant.

Expandable waistband adjusts up to 2 inches. Gripper waistband keeps shirts tucked. Shallow front pockets designed for umpires. Belt loops spaced for ball bags. Heavy-duty brass YKK zipper.

Care Instructions
  • Machine wash cold with like colors

  • Used mild, non-abrasive detergent

  • For best results, remove promptly from dryer and hang

Ironing & Steaming Guidelines

  • If needed, iron on lowest polyester setting only (275°F/135°C maximum)
  • Always iron inside out
  • Never iron over the gripper waistband
  • When steaming, keep the steamer head moving and maintain distance from fabric
  • Use a pressing cloth for added protection
  • Test on an inconspicuous area first

Pro Tip: To minimize the need for ironing, remove promptly from the dryer and hang immediately. While these pants are wrinkle-resistant, proper care will ensure the best appearance game after game.

UV Protection

  • Store pants away from direct sunlight when not in use
  • Avoid storing in hot environments for prolonged periods (like car trunks or garages)
  • Hang in a cool, dry closet or storage area
  • Keep away from heat sources during storage

Important Note: During normal game use, these pants will experience significant UV exposure - that's unavoidable and they're built to handle it. However, unnecessary exposure to heat and sunlight during storage can accelerate material degradation. Proper storage conditions will significantly extend the life of your pants.
Warranty

This product comes with a 6-month limited warranty covering manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials. This includes defects that may not be immediately apparent but become evident through normal use within the warranty period. Manufacturing defects are flaws in construction that cause premature failure during normal use, such as seams splitting, stitching unraveling, or materials failing without excessive stress.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Davis products are designed for everyday performance, provided care instructions are followed carefully. If a manufacturing defect appears within the warranty period, Davis will repair or replace the product at our discretion. For minor defects (such as loose buttons or small repairs), Davis may choose to issue a store credit instead. Normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, and alterations are not covered under this warranty.

My initial impression is that the pants are well made. No loose threads, all the stitching seems to be well finished. I like the feel of the material. It is more breathable that plain polyester pants, but not as breathable as poly-spandex pants.

I returned the pair I bought because the fit and material weren't quite right for me. They are cut quite slim and the fabric is less hefty than most other pants. Thought they would give a neat, tailored look but clung to me and didn't fall easily from waist to cuff. These are really good pants, but be aware the fit might not be for everyone.

These pants have a tailored fit and are best suited for individuals with a slimmer build or those who prefer a more streamlined look with minimal excess fabric. If you prefer a slightly wider cut we'd recommend the 94X or Core Lightweight series.

The pant looks great and feels great. It’s tight in the hips and crotch area. Could open that up a bit as I have ripped out the seam in both my plate and base pant. I have had them repaired and no more issues.

Right out of the package I knew that this was the best quality pair of umpire pants I've ever purchased. Fit & feel were perfect. While the cost was a little daunting at first I quickly realized that these pants were well worth the price. They look sleek & outstanding worn over gear. Unlike other brands of plate pants I have worn they won't flap like loose sails on windy breezy days. Very pleased with this purchase.

Skinny pant legs. I wear a brace and it shows considerably. Besides that the waist is true to size. Very nice material. Great pants with the exception of the skinny pant legs.

If you need extra room, we'd recommend the tapered cut on the 94X series or straight fit on 94X or Core Lightweight series of pants.

Really solid pants. No spandex but the polyester still has give and flex and love that it has enough weight to drape and hold a crease well. Straight fit/flat front cut makes the pant less baggy, too. More weighty fabric than poly-spandex of other brands but no less breathable and comfortable in warmer weather.

Pants are true to my size. I am a true 35 inch waist and the pants feel great. They are not tight in the legs like the base pants, the shin guards fit great.
