These pants seem to be well made and look really good

The waist size adjuster clips are exposed above the belt. Would tighter belt loops help eliminate this?

I bought these because they're required for my upcoming tournament. However, I hate them. First of all, the weird metal waist adjustment system: it adds extra bulk, prevents my belt from sitting flat, and worst of all: it's fragile! I had it adjusted fairly tight, and I squatted down, and the large metal staple that was holding the adjustment system together pulled out. I had to use pliers to put it back together.
They are cut really poorly to fit a woman, but that's not an issue for most of you guys. Nevertheless, Davis sports: get a clue. Women umpires deserve uniforms that fit us too.

These pants are as advertised - lightweight and easy to move in but still hefty enough to drape well and keep a tailored look. Have been happy with these in both warm summer weather and chilly spring games with tights underneath. Expandable gripper waistband works easily and well also. Quality product.

Nice pants. Used the plate pants two games and the belt loops had loose thread hanging. But that was an easy fix. They hold the crease way better then the Smitty while being the same weight. All in all great pants as usual from GD sports.

I just received my pants back from the tailors ( having hemmed ) looking forward to wearing, I currently own 2 combo charcoal pants which I purchased, currently satisfied with my purchased.

The quality of these pants are excellent. They look great and are made to last. The adjustable waistband is fantastic and adjusts a good amount. In my experience the waist size is my larger than 'normal' but has a big adjustment. If you're in between sizes I would go down.
The cut on the legs is slim. This works well for me because I'm a slim guy. I love these base pants!

The cut on the legs is slim. This works well for me because I'm a slim guy. Not a lot of extra space in the plate pants with shin guards. Combo's with shin guards will not work because of the slim cut.

Very comfortable and breath well in the heat. Easy to keep clean and look good. Only thing that I would recommend is to reinforce the crotch seam. First time I went hands on knees it split a little. Quick reinforcement stitching worked well afterwards.

Too thick, too heavy, too warm, little flexibility

Proper Waist and Lenth ordered, however I am unhappy with the comfort. Both pair I ordered have little flexibility when squatting into the plate umpire position. They are thicker and heavier. They are hotter because they are tightly woven and really uncomfortable.They are a lighter color than Smitty Charcoal and therefore do not match most umpires I work with. I am really unhappy but your policy says I can not return them because they were hemmed.

Again Davis comes through with high quality apparel and amazing support to the LL program.

The pants came with a belt loop that was unstitch. There is a metal clasp that helps tighten the pants that broke after 5 uses. Poor quality especially considering they cost 70.

If looking for professional quality is one of your expectations, Davis products will meet or exceed your expectations. This is the first time in my 30 years of umpiring that I've used a flat front pant because I believed the room in the pleated pants was more comfortable. These play pants not only have the room, all equipment fits comfortably underneath and give an exceptional professional look. There is more ease of movement in the traditional pants that I have used behind the plate over the years. The expandable waistband allows for extra clothes in the colder months while adjusting for fewer clothes in the warmer months and giving that perfect fit around the waist. Finally found a pair of plate pans that moves easily with all my gear and maintains his professional look from first pitch to last.
