Like pretty much everyone else that's taken the time to submit a review, I love this jacket. My favorite use for this jacket is probably different than others here. I will use this jacket on the plate as a layer under my chest protector. I've worked games in the low- to mid-40s and rainy in that configuration and I actually worked up a sweat. If you're thinking about getting this jacket-o it.

Finally, someone has been able to replicate a material close to that of the original Majestic convertible jackets that all umpires love. The positioning of the pocket opening on this jacket makes it easier to use and access. The drop hem and no draw cord will take a bit to get used to, but the look is really good. You need to size up from the size you use in the other brands of convertible jackets. I wear a L in other brands, but this one needs to be an XL for me.

If you are not a fan of the "trash bag" this is the jacket for you.

Much improved from the past versions I have used. I wore it recently on a warm windy day, the material was much more breathable. Never got to hot and stayed comfortable in it the entire game.

Unlike its rival, it went lighter and much more breathable, but didn’t compromise its toughness at all. Also unlike its rival, it’s styled much sleeker and trimmer, without superfluous material in the shoulders, under the arms, or at the tail. It’s an exceptionally smart-looking jacket. The vertical chest pocket is very handy and functional, unlike the awkward access of a horizontal chest pocket, that can only be there because someone thinks a convertible could, would, or should be worn on plate.
This BFX jacket is much too nice for plate work.

Love the fit and comfort. Much more streamlined than the old trash bags. Zippers on the bottom sides allow for easy tuck-in or wearing untucked. Material stops the wind well but you'll need long sleeves under for warmth.
