At 5/8" thick, the DX Mk2 delivers protection without the bulk that weighs you down through a long day at the complex. Slim enough to disappear under your shirt.

Traditional open-cell foams force a tradeoff. Go thinner and you feel every impact. Add protection and you add bulk. The DX Mk2 eliminates the compromise.

The chest area takes the hardest shots. That's where Davis put Covalta™, our proprietary chemically cross-linked foam. Where conventional foams simply compress and bounce energy back into you, Covalta absorbs impacts through cell wall deformation and internal friction. The energy dissipates instead of transferring. EVA foam provides reliable protection throughout the rest of the protector.

Hydrophobic construction sheds moisture throughout the game. No sweat absorption means consistent weight all game. No trapped moisture means minimal odor and faster turnaround between games.

Body-conforming fit moves with every stance adjustment. The DX Mk2 stays in position.

Warranty

Our 1-Year limited warranty protects against manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials for our protective equipment. This includes defects that emerge through normal use within one year of purchase, such as structural integrity issues, padding deterioration, or material failure without excessive wear.

If a manufacturing defect appears, we'll repair or replace your product at our discretion. For minor issues, we may offer store credit. This warranty requires proof of purchase and applies to genuine Davis protective equipment used as intended with proper care.

Normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, and alterations are not covered under this warranty. Any modifications to the product will void this warranty. Additionally, excessive wear, abuse, or use outside of intended purpose will void this warranty.

After using this chest protector through my college softball season, my summer season and my high school softball season. I even used it for the few high school baseball games I did with no issues. I have found it to fit very well, when the straps are securely fastened, and comfortable with good protection. It comes on and off very easily and the fasteners work very well. I recommend this chest protector for any level of softball from youth through college. This hard shell protector was also great for high school baseball. It does have somewhat of an odor problem after about 25 games but cleans easily eliminating the smell. I just sprayed Dawn powerwash on it and rinsed it in warm water. I really like this chest protector.

Feels real good when wearing it, plenty of protection. Fits well over shirts and jackets, no need to move up one side to wear. I haven’t taken a foul ball yet so can’t give it 5 stars. But, I’m sure it will work as designed.

I have been having problems finding a great chest protector that is low profile and made well. Was just looking until I came upon Davis sight and looked at their equipment and found this gear . It came in just in time to try on a hot day and did three plate games in softball. Gear is comfortable to wear as long as you follow directions how to wear it , plus I have a ileostomy and the extender and it covers the stoma and protects me more than ostomy belt . I do wear both now I’m double protected in that area now , I’m very satisfied in this purchase.

Very comfortable and good coverage for the chest area. I’m still making some adjustments but overall, I like the fit and feel. I’ve taken a few foul balls off the protector and it has worked perfectly.

This is a great, hard shell rig, especially at this price point! You can remove the neck guard and/or the pec wings that take away some weight and increase the breathability. If you're working a long weekend of travel ball, this is a great chest protector for those long days at the complex. It also has the 3"removable extension if you're going to be working behind F2s who maybe aren't the best at blocking those pitches in the dirt, you have the option of a little more torso protection.
