The Replaceable Interface

Traditional mask pads are single units. When the fabric wears from sweat, UV exposure, and game-after-game friction, you replace everything.

The Davis two-part system separates what wears out from what protects you. Davis pad socks provide the exterior fabric interface and frame attachment. Davis pad cores (required, sold separately) contain the protective technology: engineered foam layers and HDPE load distribution plates that manage impact. Cores insert into socks and zip closed. When your sock wears from seasons of use, replace it. Not the padding. Want moisture-wicking mesh for August or microfiber suede for early spring? Swap socks in minutes. Same protection, different interface.

Engineered Construction

Most pad covers are fabric sleeves. They sit between your face and the protective foam but contribute nothing to impact management.

Davis Pad Socks are engineered differently. The molded EVA front panel provides structural backing for the HDPE load distribution plates in Davis pad cores. When mask bars take impact, the EVA expands the contact area. The HDPE plate spreads it further. Force distributes before foam compresses. The sock isn't just holding your pads. It's part of how they work.

Charcoal Lycra covers the molded EVA front panel, maintaining professional appearance while resisting visible dirt accumulation. Black space mesh on the back provides soft face contact across all temperature ranges. Mesh provides all-season comfort against your skin. When conditions change or preference shifts, swap socks. Same cores, different interface.

Installation:

  1. Insert Davis pad core fully into pad sock. Ensure core orientation matches markings (face side vs. frame side).
  2. Close zipper completely and secure zipper handle.
  3. Attach to mask frame using hook-and-loop straps. Fasten tightly.

  • Frame Compatibility: Designed for the Davis Mirage 12 XCG and Trace. Also fits traditional wire-weld frames including Nike Ti and Wilson Dynalite. Does not fit All-Star FM4000 or S7 series frames.
  • Core Compatibility: Works with all Davis pad cores: Tango2, Cloud4, and Shear3. Choose protection level based on temperature conditions or preference.
  • Quick Access Top Pad: Top pad removes without detaching harness, allowing for quick changes without disassembling your mask setup.
  • Secure Attachment: Hook-and-loop straps (3 bottom, 4 top) mount firmly to frame. Medium-duty zipper with 5mm teeth ensures reliable closure that won't fail mid-game.

Warranty

This product comes with a 6-month limited warranty covering manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials. This includes defects that may not be immediately apparent but become evident through normal use within the warranty period. Manufacturing defects are flaws in construction that cause premature failure during normal use, such as seams splitting, stitching unraveling, or materials failing without excessive stress.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Davis products are designed for everyday performance, provided care instructions are followed carefully. If a manufacturing defect appears within the warranty period, Davis will repair or replace the product at our discretion. For minor defects (such as loose buttons or small repairs), Davis may choose to issue a store credit instead. Normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, and alterations are not covered under this warranty.
